Dear John:

\JThis is just a note to let you know I've not forgotten.
I have been building a description of the goals I have for TLC,
and outlining areas where your group might feel confortable in
participating. TLC's goals are broad: from education to intensely
technical development. Unfortunately, the current draft runs 
about seven single-spaced pages and is not well-focused.
To complicate matters, this week has been incredibly frustrating:
stalled contracts, red tape, petty university
politics, and over-loaded schedules. It has not been a pleasant
week; a few times, only  fond memories of the excellent reactions to our LISP
tutorials kept me going.

I \F3do\F1 need help with TLC, and I need it very soon. Unfortunately
there is only one of me, and situations like those mentioned above
sap my strength and take an inordinate amount of time.

I will continue to rework the TLC papers and hope to have them to you this
week. If you'd like more immediate  response from me, please
call.
